The Best of Thailand liveaboard itinerary combines the Similan & Surin Islands with our Southern Thailand itinerary into a single 8-night voyage, offering an exceptional overview of the Andaman Sea’s most celebrated dive regions. From the granite boulder formations of the Similan Islands and the pelagic action of Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, vibrant coral reefs of the Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock, to the deep-water pinnacles of Hin Daeng and Hin Muang and the lagoons of Koh Haa, this itinerary delivers a diverse mix of iconic dive sites and marine life. On 10-night itineraries, the route also extends to Koh Lipe, Thailand's most southern diving area, adding rarely visited highlights within the Tarutao National Marine Park.

Maps & Itinerary
Similan Islands National Park
Covering an area of over 140km², Mu Koh Similan National Park comprises 11 granite islands in total, including Koh Bon and Koh Tachai. Dive sites feature giant current-swept boulders with deep canyons, pinnacles, tunnels, and archways on the western side, while east-facing sites are mostly sheltered, fringing coral reefs with gentle slopes ranging from 5-25 metres.
Richelieu Rock
Possibly the most well-known of all Thailand’s dive sites. Barely visible from the surface, this horseshoe-shaped limestone pinnacle boasts prolific marine life with stunning soft corals hosting an abundance of colourful reef fish and macro delights.
Surin Islands
Comprising 2 large and 3 small islands, the reefs and outcrops of the Surin Islands group offer some of the greatest hard coral diversity in Thailand, and are home to Thailand’s largest Moken community.
Koh Haa National Park
Translating as Five Islands, Koh Haa offers numerous dive sites where you can discover a diverse range of marine life as you explore pinnacles, walls, caverns, and swim-throughs.
Hin Daeng & Hin Muang
These two isolated pinnacles are best known for manta ray and whale shark encounters. Almost perpetually good visibility, dramatic topography, and vast numbers of fish make for excellent liveaboard diving.
Koh Lipe (10-night itineraries only)
Situated near Langkawi Island and the Malaysian border, Koh Lipe and its neighbouring islands harbour some amazing dive sites. Some are very exposed and strong currents are common.
Your cruise director will schedule up to four dives per day; 3 day dives and, where possible, either a sunset or night. This totals approximately 26 dives over 7 days of diving. Each full diving day is typically scheduled as follows:
- Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and dive 1
- Full Breakfast and relaxation period
- Briefing and dive 2
- Lunch and relaxation period
- Briefing and dive 3
- Snacks and relaxation period
- Briefing and dive 4, where possible
- Dinner
For last day’s diving, there will usually be 2 morning dives before Thailand Master commences the cruise to port ready for disembarkation the following morning.
The itinerary above is an example only and is subject to change depending on local regulations and restrictions, guests’ experience, weather conditions and logistics, and is at the Captain’s discretion. Adverse weather can affect this route, which includes several overnight sailings.
PLEASE NOTE: The 8-night Best of Thailand itinerary incorporates 2 days diving Southern Thailand sites and 5 days in Similan & Surin Islands. The inclusion of Koh Lipe is only possible on 10-night itineraries, and is not guaranteed.
